How Kafil works
The whole platform exists to answer one question: how do two strangers work together without either being able to run away with the money? Here is the machinery, honestly.

The handover checklist
- Source code / repository access transferred
- Domain registered in your company's name
- Hosting account owned by your company
- Database and its credentials handed over
- All remaining credentials transferred
Released to the builder on approval

Shape the work
Describe a problem and let the guided questions scope it, or paste a brief you already trust. Either way, a market benchmark checks your budget before builders see it.

The three clocks
48hours
Funding window
After a builder accepts, you have 48 hours to fund the first milestone. Unfunded contracts expire and the job reopens.
5days
Auto-approval
After delivery, you have 5 days to approve or request changes. Silence approves — the builder is never held hostage.
5days
Dispute response
When a problem is raised, the other side has 5 days to answer before a human mediator steps in.
Three promises, and a ledger that keeps them
The price is fixed before work starts
You agree the scope and the amount up front. No hourly meters, no invoices that grow.
$450The money is held, never spent
Funding a milestone moves your transfer into the wallet. It sits there until you approve — the builder can see it is real, and you still control it.
Held safelySilence still pays the builder
After delivery you have 5 days to approve or object. If nothing happens, the milestone releases on its own. Nobody is held hostage by a busy inbox.

Where the money actually sits
When you fund a milestone, you transfer by Whish and write a reference code in the note. The transfer lands in Kafil's digital wallet — a double-entry ledger where every movement balances to the cent and history can never be edited. The builder cannot touch it. Neither can you.
One milestone, end to end
When something goes wrong
Either side can raise a problem on any funded milestone. Raising one immediately stops the auto-approval clock and keeps the money held. The other side has 5 days to respond; if the two of you don't resolve it, a human mediator decides how the milestone splits — every cent must be accounted for, released or refunded.
No money ever moves automatically because of a dispute. It sits in the wallet until there is a decision.

The handover checklist
For project work, the final payment will not release until ownership actually changes hands. Five items are tracked on every contract; the builder marks each done, and you confirm.

Approve, and the builder is paid
They deliver, and your 5-day clock starts. Money you approve lands in the builder's balance the same day — there is no extra holding period, because Whish transfers cannot be charged back. Their withdrawal never touches you.
